Constellation
Constellation examines our ability to perceive infinite depth as two dimensional and vice versa, which can be seen the way we mapped the constellations as if they were on a flat plane, when in fact each point is light-years apart in depth. As a result of the the uniform glow and line weight in contrast with a dark background, the complex three dimensional structure composed of uranium glass and fluorescent green monofilament appears to collapse or expand the space of the room depending on the viewer’s perspective. The fluorescent quality of the media appears to dematerialize the lines, giving them the presence of a digital rendering and transforming the piece from physical installation to a drawing with light in space
